This has been a terrific home and experience for
our family and we will miss our wonderful neighbors and
community. A relocation move brought us to
Minnesota two years ago. We have loved living here and
we’re so lucky to have found such a wonderful
neighborhood and community to call home.
Sunnybrook is a great place to live with a small town
community feel, and all the conveniences of getting
to Minneapolis, area shopping, recreation, and great
restaurants etc.
The neighborhood is full of kids of all ages, has a
great supply of babysitters, a fun book club group,
annual Halloween and progressive adult Christmas
parties, fall block party and "girl’s nights out" and
"guy’s nights out". Not to mention being able to walk
the kids to much-loved Hilltop Primary School and
stopping by the Slow Creek Park located just 7
houses away in the neighborhood. |
From the quiet cul-de-sac setting to the deeded lake
access where many days were spent fishing and ice
skating, to enjoying all of nature's creatures right in
our back yard (deer, heron, turtles, ducks, geese,
rabbits, hawks, owls), Sunnybrook is an ideal place to
live. (Please take the time to walk down to the dock
for Dutch Lake. There’s a woodchip pathway at the end
of our cul-de-sac that leads you there. It’s
beautiful!)
We have loved every detail of our home, the warmth of
all the built-ins and architectural details, beautiful
woodwork and solid wood doors throughout, the
functionality of the gourmet kitchen/great room
area, the lower level entertainment area with surround
sound, the fireplaces on those cold evenings and the
lake views each and every day. |

Jubilee Foods, Wells Fargo Bank, Thrifty White Drug
Store, Post Office, True Value Hardware store,
Great Clips (great for the kids), Caribou Coffee and the
newly opened Dakota Trail. We can't get enough of the
Dakota Trail which is a beautifully paved
biking/running/walking/rollerblading trail that takes
you from "downtown" Mound West to St. Bonifacius or
East to Wayzata. On hot days, we have loved taking a
swim at the local Mound Beach. We have also
loved the convenience of being so close to downtown
Minneapolis. Being just 30 minutes away to the city, we
have thoroughly enjoyed being take advantage of all that
it has to offer while still enjoying the peace and
tranquility of Sunnybrook and Minnetrista. And now with
the 394/Rt. 212 spur coming to the intersection of 212
and 6th Ave., the commute into the city will
be just 20 – 25 minutes! |
